Zoe Hundevad is an artist based in Bavaria, Germany. She specialises in watercolours and handcrafted canine ceramic sculptures. Her work reflects a deep connection with animals and the natural world.
Zoe´s lifelong passion for pets and wildlife has been the driving force in her artistic journey. With a keen eye for detail, she strives to highlight each animal´s unique personality and character in her creations. As a self-taught artist, Zoe has meticulously honed her distinctive, heartfelt approach to art over the last 38 years.
A recent introduction to a pottery kiln ignited Zoe’s interest in three-dimensional form, inspiring her to explore working with clay. ”When I paint, I feel the shape of the subject I am painting with my hand and mind, so this process feels entirely natural and makes total sense.” She now combines hand-sculpted forms with intricate details to create pieces that feel both lifelike and personal.
Zoe grew up in rural Oxfordshire in the UK, and after studying Geography at Swansea University, she lived in Wales, London and France, until finally settling in rural North Bavaria with her two and fourlegged family.
Zoe is driven by a constant desire for growth and creative exploration, viewing her artistic path as an endless adventure. She invites others to share in this passion and enjoy looking at some of her unique paintings and pottery.
